The Tallahassee Ballet

The Tallahassee Ballet was founded in 1972 by former Balanchine dancer, Helen Salter.
The Tallahassee Ballet is a regional, semi-professional, non-profit community ballet company featuring a combination of classical and contemporary ballet training and performance opportunities.
For 40 years, The Tallahassee Ballet has provided an outstanding training ground for emerging professionals ages nine and up, while stimulating appreciation of the dance arts in our community through three full-scale productions and several mini-performances each year.
An active Board of Directors and Parent Guild provide support and resources, and an informal advisory group of local experts with long-time company ties is available to call upon as necessary.
